Boot Camps Rock
We are seeing a steady increase in the number of gym members who are opting to attend our weekly fitness boot camps. People of all ages and fitness levels are joining in on the fun. Our Boot Camps are designed to provide a great work-out, focused on improving cardiovascular health and increasing overall body strength. We keep a keen focus on maintaining an energetic and fun filled atmosphere that promotes teamwork, fun and success.
Each Boot Camp is different in terms of workout routines. We like to continually change the workouts to keep them fresh, fun and exciting. The more fun our members have during boot camp, the more value they seem to derive from the workouts. Our primary boot camp instructor is Brandi Lein. She is also the general manager of our Anytime 24 hour gym. Brandi has been in the fitness industry for a number of years and has a gymnastics and cheerleading background, from her days in school. Our boot camp participants love her energy. They all take great comfort in the fact that Brandi has a genuine interest in ensuring they are all benefiting from the effort being put in and they know that she will ensure that each participant is enjoying the workout.
As I mentioned before, the exercise routines we use in our boot camps are continually changed. Given we run three boot camps each week, we want to be sure to focus on different muscle groups during each workout. One workout may be focused on improving cardiovascular fitness. The next may target lower body exercises, while the next may focus on building a strong core body. By rotating our workouts, we can provide each participant with the perfect environment for staying motivated and working to improve their overall physical fitness level. Take a look at the photo to the left. It shows one of our regular boot camp participants working out on the heavy ropes. We generally use fitness stations in our workouts. By that I mean, while one member is doing the heavy ropes, another may be doing step ups, another may be doing push ups and still others may be working with medicine balls. In order to keep things interesting, we like to have lots of different activities going on throughout the sessions.
Boot camps at Anytime generally last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Some go a bit longer and some a few minutes less. Each member is encouraged to participate during the entire session, but, all are free to rest should they need it. We teach our participants to work hard and to manage their energy throughout these long workouts. The more work you can put in during the 1 and 1/2 hour program, the more you will get out of your effort.
