Each new person that is new to our personal training program gets to have a free. consultation and complimentary one-hour personal training session.
Since you are new but may be apprehensive to what might be involved, we thought it would be a good idea to give you a better picture of what to expect when you have this free consultation and one-hour complimentary workout with one of our personal trainers. After all, this will also show you how we can help you achieve those fitness goals.
First, you schedule your consultation with what fits your schedule. Be sure to arrive in workout clothes because you will get sweaty! The first part of your consultation will be us listening to you.
We want to know about your previous fitness conditions, any injuries or surgeries that have slowed you down, any medical conditions that you may have, and your current fitness goals. Of course, we’ll also want to know the challenges you have faced or that are currently stopping you from reaching your goals. This helps us determine what might be the right approach to your custom personal fitness training program.
Next, we’ll do some measurements to see where you are at in terms of your weight and body fat percentage. This allows us to see what you have to do to reach a healthy zone again. Next, we like to do personal assessments to determine things like your stamina, balance, flexibility, strength and more. This also helps us understand how we can help you best.
During these assessments, you’ll be able to get a tour of the gym and learn about how to use the equipment. We’ll also share some of the personal training exercises we do so you can see what’s involved. Often, we’ll share what typical sessions with a personal trainer looks like over the course of a week or month so you know what you can do.
We learn about you and how we can help, and you learn about what it’s like to work with us. That adds comfort and confidence. Often, new clients are then excited to get started and sign-up for a personal training program that fits their life and budget. You will, too!
