PERSONAL TRAINING CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Personal training can be a life changer for those looking to lower blood pressure, improve cardiovascular health, and create an overall better quality of life.

Firstly, the intense physical activity experienced during personal training sessions will strengthen your heart muscles dramatically. As you exercise, your heart becomes more efficient in pumping blood, reducing the pressure on your arteries. This, in turn, helps to lower your blood pressure and reduces the strain on your cardiovascular system.

Moreover, Geogria Personal Training utilizes a combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercise techniques, that improve your recovery heart rate and greatly increase lung capacity. Therefore, improving the delivery of oxygen-rich blood to your muscles, organs, and tissues. By doing so, they enhance your cardiovascular health and support the overall functioning of your body.

In addition to cardiovascular benefits, our personal training sessions are terrific for weight management. Regular GPT training sessions, paired with a customized diet plan, can help you achieve a healthy weight or maintain it. This is vital for health as excess weight puts additional stress on your heart, leading to higher blood pressure and an increased risk of heart disease. By shedding excess weight or maintaining a healthy weight, you can reduce these risks and improve your cardiovascular health.

Furthermore, Georgia Personal Training sessions focus primarily on strength training exercises. As you strengthen your muscles, your body becomes more efficient at using oxygen and nutrients, which decreases the workload on your heart. This can contribute to lower blood pressure and improved overall cardiovascular health.

  TRAINING FOR ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

One aspect that sets us apart from other personal training options in the area is our background and experience in the sports performance arena. If a person is truly looking to improve their health and fitness, they need to work with someone who specializes in human performance rather than just cosmetic fitness. Hypertrophy and physique sculpting are completely different training approaches than training to be in great shape.

In today’s fitness space, looking fit is often confused with being healthy, the two things couldn’t be further apart. Georgia Personal Training specializes in, and prioritizes, the health and fitness component of personal training. New clients are always amazed at how quickly they notice physical improvements from their training sessions. Specifically, major increases in their strength and endurance. The human body is a remarkable machine, and it’s ability to adapt to new stress levels has very few limits. To create this adaptation, we must push those limits when we train.

The harder we push ourselves, the more the body will respond. Their is no age at which this physiological process ceases to occur. In fact, we often see clients in their mid fifties to mid sixties progress at an even quicker pace than some of their younger counterparts.

Training with one of our sports performance experts can have a significant impact on athletic performance, whether it’s in competitive sports or recreational activities like running or cycling. Our professionals design customized personal training programs based on an individual’s specific sport or activity. These programs include exercises and methods that target key muscles and improve skills required for optimal performance. By utilizing this targeted approach, athletes can improve their speed, agility, endurance, and overall functional strength.

EVERYDAY WE FACE OUR DEMONS TOGETHER

Improving mental health is the most important aspect of the trainer client relationship. At GPT, we believe the body can only thrive when the mind is strong. Every single person you interact with is fighting a private personal battle of some kind. And knowing that, we take a deep sense of pride in helping build our clients up mentally as much as physically.

Working with Georgia Personal Training can have massive positive effects on your mental health. Engaging in regular personal training sessions, involving lifting weights and HIIT cardio, has been scientifically proven to release endorphins, which are natural mood-enhancing chemicals in the brain. These endorphins help reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, promoting a more positive mental state. The more intense the exercise, the more endorphins our brain releases.

Regular personal training sessions combat the physical effects of stress. Hard workouts reduce the production of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, while also stimulating the production of endorphins and other mood-regulating neurotransmitters. Leading to a decrease in stress levels, promoting a sense of calmness and relaxation.

Exercise has been shown to have a positive impact on cognitive function, including memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. When you work with a personal trainer, they can design exercises that challenge your brain as well, such as incorporating coordination or balance exercises. This stimulates the release of growth factors and increases blood flow to the brain, promoting neuroplasticity and enhancing cognitive performance.

OBESITY | DIABETES | HEART DISEASE

Obesity, diabetes, and heart disease are three health conditions that have reached alarming levels in America. Obesity has become a widespread epidemic affecting both adults and children. According to the CDC, approximately 42.4% of American adults are obese. This translates to over 100 million individuals struggling with the associated health risks, including an increased likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Additionally, type 2 diabetes has seen a significant upsurge in recent years. According to the CDC, approximately 34.2 million Americans, or 10.5% of the population, had diabetes in 2018. Of these cases, around 90-95% were diagnosed as type 2 diabetes, which is largely preventable through lifestyle changes. However, the prevalence of this disease continues to rise due to factors such as sedentary lifestyles and poor dietary choices.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States. According to the American Heart Association, in 2017, cardiovascular diseases accounted for approximately 840,678 deaths, or 1 in every 3 deaths in the country. The risk factors contributing to heart disease are closely linked to obesity and diabetes, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and physical inactivity. These risk factors, often stemming from unhealthy lifestyles, can be managed and prevented through regular exercise and nutritious diets.

PHYSICAL INACTIVITY | HORRIFIC DIETS | LACK OF SLEEP

Physical activity is crucial for maintaining overall health and preventing chronic diseases. Unfortunately, most Americans don’t engage in enough exercise. In fact, only about 23% of U.S. adults meet the recommended guidelines for aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities. A recent study also found that the United States has the highest rates of inactivity among high-income countries, with approximately 40% of American adults being physically inactive.

Many Americans have diets that are high in processed foods, added sugars, unhealthy fats, and low in essential nutrients. According to the CDC, only about 1 in 10 adults in the United States consume enough fruits and vegetables daily. The American Heart Association reports that the average American consumes around 77 grams of added sugar per day, which is more than double the recommended limit.

Sleep is essential for our physical and mental well-being, yet many Americans struggle to get sufficient rest. The National Sleep Foundation recommends that adults aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night, but data from the CDC reveals that around 35% of adults in the U.S. report less than 7 hours of sleep on average. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine reports that about 30% of American adults experience occasional insomnia, while 10% suffer from chronic insomnia.

MENTAL HEALTH | DEPRESSION | ANXIETY

Unhealthy habits can also impact mental well-being. Studies have found associations between poor diets, sedentary lifestyles, and inadequate sleep with an increased risk of mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. Mental health issues, particularly depression and anxiety, have become a significant public health concern in the United States. These conditions can have a profound impact on individuals’ lives, affecting their overall well-being and quality of life.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, around 19.4 million adults, or approximately 7.8% of the U.S. population, experienced at least one major depressive episode in the past year. Depression affects people of all ages, with rates varying among different demographic groups. Furthermore, around 20% of the population experiences symptoms of an anxiety disorder every year.

The COVID-19 pandemic further exacerbated the mental health crisis in the United States. The increased stress, isolation, and uncertainty have contributed to a rise in mental health issues. It is crucial to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure access to mental health services for those in need. By prioritizing mental health and addressing the underlying causes and risk factors, we can work towards a society that supports the well-being of all its members.
