Personal Training For Busy People

Our recommendation is, workout early in the morning. An early workout can really be beneficial to your body and to your psyche. When you workout in the morning, it super charges your body and mind for the busy day to come. Many of the clients we serve love morning workouts. Their metabolism kicks into high gear and the feel great for the entire day. The morning workout allows their bodies to start burning fat, early in the day. At the same time they are getting a head start on burning fat, they also get to enjoy other side benefits such as more energy and increased mental focus at the office.

Lysine molecular structureHere is a quick science lesson. Your body slows down your metabolic rate and lowers your brain temperature while you sleep. In effect, your body is repairing any damage from the previous day.  Metabolism uses two processes to break down and build up molecules in your body. These processes are called, anabolism and catabolism. Anabolism relates to the build up of molecules, while catabolism controls the breakdown of molecules. In laymen’s terms, your body uses these processes when storing molecules or breaking down molecules to fuel exercise or activity.

Molecules exist in many forms in the human body.  Fat molecules are one of the types of molecules we have in our bodies. Early morning workouts help to activate the metabolic process. The workout stimulates our body and our brain, which quickly recognizes the need for energy. That kicks off the catabolism process, in which molecules and organic matter in our bodies are broken down. The resulting energy that is created during that process is harvested via cellular respiration. Again in laymen’s terms, your body has the ability to turn fat cells and other organic matter into energy. That energy provides the fuel we need to fuel our exercise activities and workouts. A morning workout engages the catabolism process early in the day. That gives you a nice head start in burning fat that day.

There are many factors which impact the metabolic rate that our bodies operate at. Sleep is one big factor in that process. During sleep our bodies restore themselves and build molecules that will be needed in the coming day. After a full nights sleep, your body is craving activity. Their is nothing better to ignite your engine than getting your body moving early in the day. People who engage in early morning workouts may tend to feel more tired at the end of a really busy day. Burning fat early in the day stresses our bodies fuel reserves. If not replaced, the loss of fuel reserves can eventually make us feel tired. Many Americans struggle to sleep at night. Some because they did not physically exert themselves during the day and some because they have super active brains that just don’t want to shut off. Physical exercise early in the morning can really pay big dividends as the evening approaches. For most, feeling tired in the evening can turn into a huge bonus, in terms of increased need for sleep. The more you sleep, the more your body can gather molecules for the coming day. When you think about it, this is the type of healthy lifestyle that can lead to happier, healthier, more energetic living.

Personal trainingWhen you work out in the morning, your body is forced to increase the rate of catabolism. Meaning your body must start breaking down the large molecules, containing the building blocks of energy, and turn those larger molecules into smaller molecules. That is the process our bodies go through each time our brain asks for energy to be delivered for exercise. Most of the clients we train prefer to engage in early morning workouts. The vast majority of them tell us that the early morning workouts make them feel great all day. Most advise that the early activity makes them feel a bit tired and ready for sleep at the end of the day. Most say they find themselves going to bed earlier as a result. For the record, we feel that getting more sleep is a good thing for the human body. The human body uses sleep cycles to recharge our systems and fuel our energy reserves. The scientific facts are pretty clear. Sleep deprivation can lead to slower metabolic rates and increased fat reserves. Depriving our body of sleep also lowers our motivation levels when it comes to working out. Less frequent workouts lower our ability to burn fat. More sleep can help your body and brain to operate at optimal levels.
