These are two of my good friends.  Adrian (left) is only in his early 40s and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease several years ago. He trains his butt off with me 3-4 days a week to slow the progression of the disease and alleviate the symptoms. He is a fighter!

Nael (right) is still a rookie, but he’s quickly become one of my favorite people. Like me, he wasn’t blessed with the genetics of Thor. But he’s got a heart the size of Texas, and he gives me everything he has every single time we train.  He asked me today when we took this picture, “you sure you want a fat guy in your training picture?” I said, “are you kidding me? Get in here!”

When I look at these two guys I don’t see a sick guy and a short, chubby guy. I see warriors.
